(where we'll celebrate what we've accomplished this year,
and recognize who did it)
337,050,000 WORDS
That's (choose one):
a) the length of the average DG speech;
b) the reasons given by Rotarians for not
attending last week's Assembly;
c) the number of entries in the 9,630 dictionaries
that D5130 Rotarians delivered to third grade kids
just this year!
All of the above might be correct, but the best answer is "c".
We have just completed the best year ever, thanks to Harvey Freetly's dedication
and all of your efforts. And "efforts" is hardly the right word to use, when this
project is such a joy to take part in. Those kids excitement to get the books and
enthusiasm to dive right in is one of the most heart-warming things that any of us
will ever see.
