Ed Fullerton District Governor Nominee Designate 2008-2009

The District 5130 Nominating Committee and I are pleased to announce the selection of the District Governor Nominee Designate (so called "designate", because the selection must still be confirmed by the membership, by vote at the business meeting at the District Conference*).

From a field of qualified candidates, nominated and supported by their respective clubs, the committee selected Ed Fullerton, as their choice, to lead our District in the year 2008-2009. Ed has already served his Club as President (leading it to be the "Large Club of the Year" in 2002-2003); he served PDG Norm Owen as a District Club Coordinator in 2003-2004; became an Assistant Governor for PDG Bruce Campbell in 2004-2005; and this year serves as Chief Assistant Governor for DG Charlie.

After being confirmed as District Governor Nominee, Ed (and Carol) will begin a rigorous two-year period of training and preparation. Please give them your support - starting right now. Open your clubs to them as visitors. Offer your abilities as potential District Committee/Task Force/Advisory members. Continue our tradition of service throughout our District and throughout our Rotary world.

 

* The business meeting will commence at 4 PM, on May 19th, 2006, at the Konocti Resort (the afternoon of our weekend-long District Conference "The 1-ders of Rotary")
