Hi Terri,
Sorry I've been out of touch. The academics here are serious,
consuming most of my time, which is fine because they are SO good.
really great professors (I had two of them over for dinner last night)
and very international students. I am learning a lot. I've also
secured my AFE- I'll be interning at the Khmer Institute of Democracy
in Phnom Penh, Cambodia for Dec-Feb, doing conflict resolution
curriculum design for a pilot project with council leaders. My
partner Josh, who is doing a Master of Development here, will be
wirking at the same organization on international human rights
standards for the upcoming Khmer Rouge Tribunal. It is a really heavy
pleace to be going in terms of the history of Cambodia, but we are
both really excited to put some of our knowledge into practice.
