The Redwood Empire Food Bank sponsors a Summer Lunch program for low-income children. We have 40 sites throughout Sonoma County where children will be able to eat healthy, Free lunch during the summer. In order for all of these sites to be available to children in need, we must have volunteers. We are seeking groups that will be available at the site to accept the food when it is delivered and serve prepared meals. I have attached information that explains the program and a list of sites that are in need of volunteers. We have worked with the Rotary in the past but the group that usually helps is unable to get involved this year. We hope that a new group will be interested in adopting a site and become part of feeding children in need in Sonoma County. It would be great if you could pass this information on to additional Rotary groups or let me know to whom I should send this information.
