I think that is a very good question. In my Club, we've assigned mentors and they weren't even the sponsor. I have always thought that was weird. One of the things I think makes sense is to NOT push too much information on a new member initially. There is so much to learn and we tend to try to tell everything with our enthusiasm and energy, but there is only so much a new member can absorb. I think a great deal of information that is to be learned by a new member has to seep in slowly at the rate at which it makes sense. Your thoughts?
