Pedal 4 Polio is right around the corner. On October 2nd, a small group of dedicated riders will depart Ft. Bragg heading South down the coast, and 5 days later, end up at Clear Lake riding around the lake to mark the end of Pedal 4 Polio’s 2018 ride. A total of 311 miles, or about 62 miles per day average…What, are we crazy!!!
YES…but we’ll do anything (almost) to help end the scourge of polio by wiping it from the face of this planet!!!
Joining us this year so far for the full 5-day ride, replete with their new Pedal 4 Polio bike jerseys and their commitment to help end polio are (in alphabetical order):
Tim Bosma – Ft. Bragg Rotary
John Cottle – Mendocino Rotary
Brien Crothers – Spouse of Middletown Rotarian
Kevin Eisenberg – Calistoga Rotary
Reg Garcia – Spouse of Middletown Rotarian
Bence Gerber – Spouse of Middletown Rotarian
Peter Hoberg – Santa Rosa Sunrise Rotary
Bob Rogers – Sebastopol Rotary

What do the partial day riders and the full 5-day riders have in common…they are all committed to raising a minimum of $1,000 for PolioPlus.
We are asking you to help them reach their goals…and Rotary’s goal of NO MORE POLIO!!!
If you don’t have a favorite, you can donate to the overall ride…we’re not picky…and your commitment to “Service Above Self” will still be greatly appreciated by all riders.
To beat last year’s Pedal 4 Polio amount of $140,000, we are asking each and every Rotarian to donate at least $65. But wait…if you donate $100, you’ll also receive a “nifty” red polypropylene “End Polio Now” bracelet, and become a member of the Pedal 4 Polio’s $100+ Club.
Attached is a flyer that has other suggestions on how you can help. Please take a moment to read it.
As a polio survivor, and on behalf of the whole Pedal 4 Polio Team, we thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
